Skipper Matt Robins

Skipper Matt Robins was brought up in Newquay and grew up around the harbour. Matt's always had a passion for the Ocean and deep sea fishing around the coast of Cornwall. After leaving school, Matt worked as a commercial fisherman before serving in the Royal Navy.

Upon leaving the Navy, Matt went back to the fishing industry in Cornwall for a while before becoming the third generation of the family to run deep sea fishing trips out of Newquay. He has extensive knowledge of the Newquay bay area and excellent angling instincts for those 'hot spots'.

Matt is Yachtmaster Offshore qualified, fully trained in emergency first aid, fire fighting and sea survival - which is not surprising considering he is also the Helmsman of the Newquay Inshore Lifeboat. You're in safe hands when you're fishing with Matt.
